What we do to get rid of bats

The first thing people notice when they have a bat problem in their home or place of business is a rustling noise in their walls and/or ceiling. You may have a small problem or more likely, a big problem. Bats live in colonies.

Bats are nocturnal. They sleep in dark places during the daytime, and emerge at dusk, heading out for water and a massive daily feast of insects. They will return to their "cave" several times per night to rest and re-coup for another round of feeding. They move very stealthily outside and inside your home, like, well... bats.

The colony they are setting up in your home is comprised primarily of females. The males generally den alone in solitary areas, such as trees. Their tolerance for heat is very high, as is their tolerance for cold, due to fact that those who do not fly south for the winter will hibernate.

If you've got a typical maternity colony of bats in your home then you've got a big problem. A large colony is not only noisy and unsettling at dusk and dawn as swarms of bats fly in and out, but they leave their droppings and urine behind, creating a massive odor problem.

And bats carry disease. Lots of disease.

Our first task in bat removal is to inspect your home, inside and out, to find the bats. We then trap and/or kill the creatures. We then determine what needs to be capped, screened or sealed in order to keep the bats from re-entry into the home. We also repair any damage done to your home due to bats.
